Brady Lloyd is an Adelaide born playwright, performer and educator. Having lived in Australia and the UK, he has a passion for telling universal stories that celebrate the strength of the human spirit. Australian One-Act Plays for Young Adults is Lloyd’s debut publication.

"In 2019, I decided to bite the bullet and write my first play! I'd taught drama for quite some time and had used some fantastic scripts over the years, but I had been struggling to find a suitable script for a particular senior drama class. I was looking for a meaningful piece with roles that could stretch and challenge my very capable students and provide opportunities for everyone in the class to shine.
I've always been drawn to stories with immense heart and a sense of humour and love hearing tales of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, often in unexpected or unconventional ways. These kinds of stories have constantly influenced me and inspired my writing of the five plays in this anthology, Bloom, Pinky, Ember, Birdies and Encore. Following my first play, I continued writing original pieces for each of my senior drama classes and these now form the collection in Australian One-Act Plays for Young Adults. "
